Product features

● Medicine for recurrent of oral herpes infection containing vidarabine, an anti-herpesvirus component.
● It is recommended to apply it immediately when you notice any discomfort such as tingling or irritation on or around your lips.

Precautions

■ When not to use the product
(If you do not follow these instructions, the current symptoms may worsen or adverse reactions/incidents are more likely to occur. )
1. This product should not be used in the following persons:
 (1) Persons who have not received diagnosis with or treatment for oral herpes infection by doctor. (Persons who have never been diagnosed with oral herpes infection by a doctor are difficult to judge for the condition by themselves, and if they first develop, symptoms may be worse, so see a doctor.)
 (2) Individuals with extensive affected area. (If the affected area covers a wide area, it is a serious case. You should consult a doctor.)
 (3) Patients who have had an allergic symptom to this drug or its ingredients. (The use of this medicine may cause allergic symptoms again.)
 (4) Infants and toddlers under 6 years old.(Infants are likely to be infected for the first time.)
 (5) Persons with systemic symptoms such as fever and widespread rash. (If systemic symptoms such as fever or widespread rash are present, it may become severe, so please consult a doctor.)
2. Do not use on areas other than the lips and around the lips.
 (Oral herpes infection occurs in and around the lips.)
3. Do not take this medicine for a long time
 (Even if symptoms improve with the use of this drug, if it takes more than 2 weeks to heal, it may be a severe case or another disease.)
■ Consultation
1. The following persons should consult a physician or pharmacist before use.
 (1) Patients undergoing medical treatment from a physician(Other drugs prescribed by your physician may be affected, or you may already be using the same medicine as this drug.)
 (2) Pregnant women or women suspected of being pregnant.(Care should be taken when using the drug, and you should consult a specialist for instructions.)
 (3) Nursing women.(Transition to milk has been confirmed when animals are injected with the same ingredients as this drug.)
 (4) Patients who have experienced allergic symptoms associated with drugs, etc. (People who have allergies due to drugs, etc. may exprience allergic symptoms with this drug.)
 (5) Those with severe moistening or erosion. (You may have severe oral herpes infection or other diseases, so you should consult a specialist for instructions.)
 (6) People with atopic dermatitis. (Since it may become severe, it is necessary to consult a specialist for instructions.)
2. If the following symptoms are observed after using this medicine, these may be adverse reactions, so immediately discontinue the use, and show this document to your physician, or pharmacist for a consultation.

Indication

Recurrence of oral herpes infection (limited to those who have been diagnosed and treated by a doctor in the past)

Dosage and administration

Apply topically an appropriate amount to the affected lesion 1 to 4 times a day.
(Apply immediately if you notice any discomfort such as tingling or irritation on or around your lips.)
● If you use it early, it will heal quickly and will not get worse, so start using it as soon as possible (within 5 days) if you notice any discomfort such as tingling or irritation.
● Use after meals and before going to bed.

Precautions of Dosage and Administration

[1] Strictly follow the prescribed dosage and administration.
[2] When allowing children to use the medicine, a guardian must be present to watch and tell such them how to use it.
[3] Attention should be paid so that the medicine will not come into contact with eyes. If the medicine comes into contact with eyes, immediately rinse them with water or lukewarm water. If the symptoms are severe, seek an ophthalmologist for medical treatment.
[4] This medication is only for external use.
[5] Do not put in your mouth or lick.
[6] Please be careful not to accidentally allow use by a family member who has developed symptoms for the first time.

Ingredient and amount

In 1g
Vidarabine: 30mg: Suppresses the growth of herpes virus.

Additive

Stearic acid, palmitic acid, cetanol, self-emulsifying mono stearic acid glyceryl, glycerin, D-sorbitol, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, paraben, other 3 ingredients

Precautions for storage and handling

[1] Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place below 30°C, away from direct sunlight.
[2] Keep out of reach of children.
[3] Wash hands before and after use.
[4] Do not transfer the medicine to a different container. (It may lead to misuse or alter the quality of the drug. )
[5] Do not use the product after its expiration date.
 Even within the expiration date, use within 6 months after opening.
