● This medicine containing 5% minoxidil is for alopecia in middle-aged men.
● In addition to minoxidil, it contains four hair growth support ingredients (pantothenyl ethyl ether, pyridoxine hydrochloride, tocopherol acetate, and l-menthol) that help to improve the scalp environment and provide a refreshing feeling.

Precautions

■ When not to use the product
(If you do not follow these instructions, the current symptoms may worsen or adverse reactions may occur.)
1. This product should not be used in the following persons:
　(1) Those who have experienced allergic symptoms to this medication or any of its ingredients.
　(2) Women.
　　The safety of the drug has not been confirmed in Japanese women.
　(3) Persons under 20 years of age.
　　This drug has not been used in persons under 20 years of age in Japan.
　(4) Persons with alopecia other than premature alopecia. (e.g., alopecia areata and hair loss due to thyroid disease) or alopecia by an unknown cause.
　　The drug is effective only for middle-aged alopecia.
　(5) Acute hair loss and spotty hair loss.
　　They are highly likely to be alopecia other than middle-aged alopecia.
2. The medicine should not be used on the following parts.
　(1) Use the drug only for the scalp. Do not take it orally.
　　Blood pressure may decrease.
　(2) Scalp with wound, eczema or inflammation (redness), etc.
　　The drug may worsen the wound.
3. When you use this drug, do not use other hair growth agents and external preparations (ointment, liquid drug, etc.) in the scalp. When you use these other drugs, stop using this drug.
　These other drugs may affect the absorption of this drug.
■ Consultation
1. The following persons should consult a physician or pharmacist before use.
　(1) Persons who have experienced allergic symptoms (e.g., rash/redness, itching, and eruption) associated with drugs and cosmetics.
　(2) Persons with hypertension/ hypotension.
　　The drug may possibly affect blood pressure.
　(3) Persons with heart or kidney disorder.
　　The drug may affect the heart and kidneys.
　(4) Persons with oedema.
　　The drug may worsen oedema.
　(5) Persons whose family and siblings have no premature alopecia.
　　It is considered that genetic factors affect hugely the onset of middle-aged alopecia.
　(6) The elderly (≥65 years old)
　　Generally, unfavorable symptoms are likely to occur in the elderly.
　(7) Persons diagnosed as having the following
　　Thyroid disease (hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism)
　　The hair loss may be caused by thyroid disease.
2. If the following symptoms are observed after using this medicine, these may be adverse reactions, so immediately discontinue the use, and show this document to your physician, or pharmacist for a consultation.
Related parts: Symptoms
○ Skin: rash/redness in scalp (The symptoms may occur in sites other than the scalp.),itching, eruption, dandruff, feeling hot in the application site, etc.
○ Neuropsychiatric system: headache, faint, dizziness
○ Cardiovascular system: chest pain, increasing heart rate
○ Metabolic system: sharp increase of body weight with unknown cause, oedema in the extremities
3. If none of the following improvements are achieved after using the drug for 6 months, stop using this medicine, and show this document to a physician or pharmacist for a consultation.
　Severity of hair loss, the growth of vellus and fine hair, the growth of coarse hair, and amount of fallen hair (the decrease of not only in thick fallen hair but also in thin, short fallen hair is also an indicator of improvement).
　It may be alopecia other than middle-aged alopecia, or the hair loss may be caused by other factors.
4. Even if it is within 6 months after the start of use, if the hair loss deteriorates or the following hair loss is observed, discontinue use and consult a physician or pharmacist with this document.
　Hair removal other than head hair, patchy hair removal, rapid hair removal, etc.
　It may be alopecia other than middle-aged alopecia, or the hair loss may be caused by other factors.
■ Other notes
1. It takes time for hair to grow. Use daily for at least 4 months until you understand the effect.The effectiveness of 5% minoxidil lotion is approved after 4 months of use.
2. The degree to which hair grows varies from person to person, and this agent is not effective for everyone.
3. Continued use is necessary to maintain the effect, and will gradually return to normal after discontinuation.
　This drug does not remove the cause of the middle-aged alopecia cerevisiae.

Indication

To promote hair growth in middle-aged alopecia and prevent the progression of hair loss (fallen hair)

Dosage and administration

For an adult man (≥20 years old), apply 1 mL on the scalp with hair loss twice a day.
★ Do not use under 20 years old.

Precautions of Dosage and Administration

[1] A dose exceeding the range designated by the dosage and administration instructions or a more frequent application does not affect the efficacy. Strictly comply with the specified dosage and administration.(If you use the drug with more than the prescribed dose, the effect hardly increases, and adverse reactions are more likely to occur.)
[2] Attention should be paid so that the medicine will not come into contact with eyes. If the medicine comes into contact with eyes, immediately rinse them with water or lukewarm water. If the symptoms are severe, seek an ophthalmologist for medical treatment.
[3] If you touch a mucous membrane (e.g., the eyes) with fingers stained with the drug solution, irritation will occur. Wash your hands well to remove the drug solution.
[4] Do not stain objects that might melt with alcohol (glass frames, chemical fiber, etc.) with the drug.
[5] Use hair styling agents and hair spray after applying the drug.
[6] If you use hair dye (hair color, gray hair dye, etc.), apply the drug after the hair dye is completely finished.

Minoxidil: 5g: hair growth, hair restorer and prevention of hair loss
Pantothenyl ethyl ether: 1g: Provides nutrients to hair cells and keeps the scalp healthy.　
Pyridoxine hydrochloride: 0.05g: Suppresses excessive sebum secretion that causes peroxides and dandruff.
Tocopherol acetate: 0.08g: Prevents sebum oxidation and protects the scalp.
ℓ-Menthol: 0.3g: Suppresses itching on the scalp and provides a cooling sensation.

Additive

Ethanol, 1,3-butylene glycol, pH adjuster

Precautions for storage and handling

[1] After use, put the cap on and keep it in a cool place away from direct sunlight, high temperature and cold place.
[2] Keep out of reach of children.
[3] Do not transfer the medicine to a different container. (It may lead to misuse or alter the quality of the drug. )
[4] Keep away from fire.
[5] Do not use products that have expired.
